A student of various genres of dance since the age of five, Leslie Arbogast has fused performing arts with anthropology, therapy, and social activism into her adult years. She has received two bachelor’s degrees in Public Relations and Cultural Anthropology, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Native American Studies. As a Certified Instructor of the legendary Katherine Dunham’s dance technique and Executive Board member of the Institute for Dunham Technique Certification, Leslie is currently a traveling Dunham Technique educator, international dance anthropology researcher and dance writer, focusing on raising awareness of global Indigenous cultures and human rights, through performance art.
