Anthony D. Meyers is a native of the Bronx, where he currently resides. He is an Arts Program Specialist with the NYC Dept. of Cultural Affairs while also pursuing a master’s degree in Organizational Change Management, and post-masters Certificate in Leadership and Change, at The New School. In 2017, Anthony started Leading ChangeMakers, a venture that works to achieve racial equity in arts leadership through education and interventions on the individual, organizational, and systems-wide levels. Anthony has over 20 years of experience as an arts administrator, consultant, public speaker, teacher, mentor, coach, organizer, performer, choreographer, and visual artist. His essay, “My Own Protection: A Fortieth Anniversary Status Report,” was published in Black Gay Genius: Answering Joseph Beam’s Call (Vintage Entity Press, 2014).
