The former CAO Cigars warehouse has been transformed into Oz Nashville, a sparkling contemporary center for theater, dance, music, design, visual arts and more.
Artistic Director Lauren Snelling, who comes to Nashville after working at the Park Avenue Armory in New York and the Melbourne International Arts Festival in Australia, oversees performance programming. Oz’s inaugural season of performances will be announced during a ribbon-cutting ceremony and launch party on Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 6-8 p.m. Among the featured guests will be Mayor Karl Dean, Patterson Sims, a New York-based independent art curator formerly with MoMA and the Whitney Museum, and singer-songwriter Karen Elson.
