June 24 marks the last performance of “Godspell.” Own a piece of Broadway history, say the show’s producers–they will let you buy props, set pieces, displays, and such, all to support Broadway Cards/Equity Fights AIDS.
Not sure why they put “tag sale” in quotes. Is it because it kind of like a tag sale? Will there be divine intervention somehow? Crushing irony? The mind boggles. Only one way to find out for sure.

GODSPELL began its Broadway run on October 13, 2011 and officially opened on November 7, 2011. At the time of its closing, it will have played 30 preview performances and 264 regular performances.
“I’ve never been more proud of a show than I am of GODSPELL,” said lead producer Ken Davenport. “For nine months this incredible company of performers brought joy into the hearts of more than 153,000 people (and blasted them with over 1,000 pounds of confetti) … forever changing their lives, and mine as well. And while this production of GODSPELL may not be at Circle in the Square past the 24th of June, it will be in our hearts and the hearts of everyone who saw it forever.”
Directed by Daniel Goldstein and choreographed by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies), GODSPELL stars an incredible and diverse company of 10 young actors, starring Corbin Bleu as Jesus and Wallace Smith as John and Judas, and co-starring Uzo Aduba, Nick Blaemire, Hannah Elless, Celisse Henderson, Morgan James, Telly Leung, George Salazar and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle. Understudies are Corey Mach, Eric Michael Krop, Julia Mattison and Amina Robinson.
As previously announced, GODSPELL will launch its first national tour in the 2013-2014 theater season. With exclusive tour booking by The Booking Group, the national tour of GODSPELL will again feature direction by Goldstein and choreography by Gattelli.
This first-ever Broadway revival of GODSPELL features all the good gifts of one of the most enduring shows of all time in a brand-new, updated and one-of-a-kind
production, complete with Stephen Schwartz’s (Wicked, Pippin) Tony-nominated score filled with popular hits including “Day by Day,” “Light of the World,” “Turn Back, O Man” and many more.
Conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak with music and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, the original production of GODSPELL ran for more than 2,600 performances in New York and spawned successful touring productions in major U.S. cities, a 1973 motion picture adaptation and countless international engagements for the past 40 years.
GODSPELL features scenic design by David Korins (Passing Strange), costume design by Miranda Hoffman (Well), lighting design by David Weiner (The Normal Heart), sound design by Andrew Keister (Company), orchestrations by Michael Holland (Hurricane) and musical direction by Charlie Alterman (Next to Normal).
The Broadway revival of GODSPELL is produced by Ken Davenport, Hunter Arnold, Broadway Across America, Luigi Caiola, Rose Caiola, Edgar Lansbury, Mike McClernon, The Tolchin Family, Guillermo Wiechers & Juan Torres and The People of Godspell. Associate producers include Dennis Grimaldi Production, Todd Miller, Pivot Entertainment Group, Chris Welch and Cedric Yau.
