Dear Fellow Bloggers:
Our theater blogging group’s next meetup and social — co-sponsored by Music Theatre International — is set for Thurs., Nov. 12, 6pm to 8pm, at Bar Nine (www.barnine.com), 807 9th Ave., between 53rd and 54th Street.
All New York theater bloggers are invited — blogger critics, directors, playwrights, dramaturgs, educators and fans. If you blog about theater and live outside New York and happen to be visiting Nov. 12, you are invited, too. Admission is free; there is a cash bar.
Also on Nov. 12, Music Theatre International, a premier licensor of musicals known familiarly as MTI, will also launch MTI ShowSpace, its free online community. Here’s a little more, courtesy of MTI:
MTI ShowSpace is a social and professional networking destination and knowledge database connecting anyone and everyone involved in the theatrical process, regardless of their ability, level of involvement in theater, or geographical location. Whether users are actors, dancers, composers, authors, producers, educators, students, crewmembers, authors, musicians, administrators or fans, MTI ShowSpace empowers them all to make their next show their best show by sharing best practices, advice and inspiration in the form of blogs, forums, photos, videos and other dynamic interactive features.
MTI ShowSpace also provides users with special offers and discounts on MTI shows and resources, and the chance to explore the MTI Vault, which contains a host of current and historic video conversations with authors and other rare archival media treasures gathered over the past 50 years.
