New Articles: Scrat on Ice, Casting News and Hot January

scratThese are my three latest posts for AOL at Inside TV and Inside Movies.

Please feel free to click over…

Story continues below.

….and read these posts in their entirety.

I’m unable to excerpt the entire post — but I can excerpt just enough to tease you.

So read these and then go click.

The first post on the creation of the largest ice sculpture on earth — in Santa Monica, of course. Here’s a tease:

With ‘Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs’ out on Blu-ray disc and DVD this week, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment decided to do something big. And cold.

They hired a crack team of 14 sculptors from Ice Bulb LLC to spend four days carving what could be named the world’s tallest ice sculpture … in an exact likeness of Scrat, the movie’s adorably bug-eyed, acorn-obsessed half-rat, half-squirrel.

The second post is on breaking casting news. Here’s a tease:

Production on white-knuckle action, intrigue and suspense flicks show no sign of slowing as 2010 nears. Casting news on Milla Jovovich, Billy Bob Thornton and Emannuelle Chriqui (in separate projects) suggests next year may be big for psychotics, politics and plot twists on revenge themes.

The third post is a summary of what January Jones is up to. Here’s a tease:

If it’s a spousal role, apparently January Jones knows how to say “I do.” The actress, who plays wife and mom on TV’s ‘Mad Men’ and plays yet another wife in the soon-to-open film ‘Pirate Radio,’ has signed on to two new films — both thrillers, both playing wives.
