A Very Blue Bayou Pleads for More NEA Funding



I know perfectly well that no one in the arts-advocacy community cares to listen at this heady apogee of Democratic Congressional power to the idea that looking unswervingly to the federal government to fund the arts might be best matched by serious explorations of alternative funding ideas. But I’m glad a trio of stars — Linda Ronstadt (what on earth happened to her?), Wynton Marsalis and Josh Groban — went to the Hill yesterday to make the case.
